@icedvoevo @Jane19480208 If you keep the majority of manufacturing in house, have automated assembly lines, have millions of units turnaround, then you can fit $15,000 BOM into $8,000 unit price. Otherwise, it's too expensive.

RE building a drone similar to Mavic, I honestly tried. I ended up with a $15,000 Bill of Materials. Only a quality camera alone costs $3,000.
