Might sound like a stretch, but for all its flaws, religion exists because of people like this.
They have no intrinsic desire to hold themselves to consistent standards of integrity. In fact, it is a shackle they’re eager to shed. They can only be herded with carrots & sticks.
US Census: If we can’t add statistical noise, we can’t publish detailed microdata without serious privacy concerns
City of Chicago: Here is the exact count of our employees’ gender identities by neighborhood
I secretly think the real reason Lupe mad is cause he take the martial arts shit seriously and this nigga Kendrick started calling himself Kung Fu Kenny and that was the last straw.
The entire reason NYC is fun is that it's built around trains. That's it. If other American cities built themselves around trains they'd be equally fun.
I know the Aspiration stuff is gonna get all the attention, but when Adam Silver meets with the media in a week, someone needs to ask him if believes it's okay for the owner of an NBA team to be keeping a registry of his fans' sexualities, because this is just demented stuff.
I want to believe it's sincere. But a "shift" like this reads less like a turning point than an anesthetic for Democrats who are done defending Israel's endless crimes. The majority of the US public is done supporting Israel in any way that lets it continue those crimes against Palestinians and the region.
Rahm's comments may be a commendable change, but if he were serious about ending unconditional US support, he wouldn't be delivering them in Tel Aviv, where they come pre-wrapped in cover. And if Hillary Clinton is calling it a policy change, that's usually the sign it isn't one.
So real policy change means halting the support, conditional and unconditional, and pushing for accountability and sanctions. It means backing Palestinian self-determination and independence plainly. Anything short of that is just softening the blow.
Cops simply should not be allowed to use Flock cameras. This kinda stuff keeps happening over & over all over the country (usually involving cops stalking women!), & these cameras haven't even been in use for that long.
@MorePerfectUS We do not know if these folks received a letter from someone else, but they did not get one from Flock. Flock is pro-democracy and always willing to be a part of these conversations.
A California social club hosted a discussion on surveillance states, debating how to balance civil liberties and public safety.
Then, Flock sent them a cease and desist prohibiting any discussion that "describes (...) reveal, analyze, or speculate about the technical capabilities, strengths, weaknesses, or vulnerabilities of non-governmental surveillance assets and related technologies."
@nycmayor when is legislation against event promoters trying to stuff thousands of niggas into venues unsafely gonna drop. I need a dedicated 311 channel
If you ever wonder why the Democrat establishment doesn't care about winning races, its because of this.
There is an army of consultants, contractors and auxiliary party functionaries that a windfall WIN OR LOSE.
Their primary worry is any change to that status quo
