@AliYeysides @brian_armstrong There maybe more to human intelligence than just exaflops. Unlike GPU, brain is not a static circuit but a dynamic field. Berkeley neural scientist, Walter Freeman was a pioneer in this field.

Software foveal rendering is not enough. You can build fovea in hardware with 5x the visual acuity of static raster display using the same transistor count.

It is quite remarkable that companies like Meta or Apple focus on traditional computer science when putting billions of $$ into the development of AR/VR systems. It would be much faster to build these systems on modern neural science. Same for AI.

Displays in particular should be more like human retina. using dynamic resolution rather than static displays they produce today. It is amazing that no one is even trying. Visual acuity, rather than pixel count is the measure they should be using.
