Life Sim games are evolving. I've been exploring how some of the most exciting ideas from the next generation of building tools could be adapted for TS3
The result It's the beginning of a modular ecosystem designed to give builders more freedom than ever:

@Jadenfire@boringbonestv thatโs pretty sad. seeing someone charge for this sad and grey world while modders in other games make huge, detailed maps for free and only accept donations is wild ๐ต๐ต๐ต
@SacriGrape@boringbonestv i support: monetization (early access, donations, etc.)
i donโt support: permanent paywalls.
the policy allows any type of monetization except permanently paywalling content.
at this point, it feels like youโre just looking for something to argue with in everything i say
@SacriGrape@boringbonestv iโm not defending ea. i just simply donโt agree with permanent paywalls. if you do, thatโs fine. weโre clearly not going to agree on this
@SacriGrape@boringbonestv nobody is stopping creators from making money. early access, donations and voluntary support already exist. what i find ridiculous is how normalized permanent paywalls and excessive monetization have become
@SacriGrape@boringbonestv itโs not about wanting free work. supporting creators is fine. the problem here is the normalization of permanently paywalling content, especially when it goes directly against the gameโs own modding policy.
Selling (not putting them in early access, SELLING) worlds for the price of a stuff pack and a half based on existing IPs (Harry Potter no less as if JKR wasn't a raging terf)...??? ๐๐๐๐๐๐ do you need help finding your damn mind???
@phii_oda selling unfinished and unfurnished worlds filled with some bulshit ai-generated textures while paywalling ai-made mods is genuinely another level of greed
