So let me understand this, EUROPEAN leaders saying Canada should be part of the EU = acceptable and good idea
BUT, as soon as anyone talks about 51st state = it’s treason, foreign interference and very bad
Once again, zero logic there
@coreyhoganyyc In true Corey Hogan fashion, he deepens the alienation of Albertans by providing complications rather than offering structural solutions. This posting by Corey reinforces the perception that it's time for separation.
@coreyhoganyyc Hey Corey...why don't you host a town hall meeting in your riding so we can stop saying we haven't seen you in a while? The MLAs and Ward reps are making appearances.
With Alberta independence heating up
New bogus polls are coming out.
Nearly half of Albertans would not stay in Alberta if independence was achieved.
How many millions of people would flood into Alberta? Did they poll the entire country? NOPE 👎
🚨🇨🇦 When a government has to send grocery rebates so people can afford food, that's not compassion.
It's an admission that something has gone terribly wrong.
A healthy economy doesn't need rebate cheques to help families buy groceries.
It needs affordable food in the first place. 🇨🇦

Watch: In October, the Prime Minister told Canadian families, seniors, and youth they would have to make sacrifices. This week, it came to light the Liberal Prime Minister spent $200,000 on food on three recent trips. This is what his sacrifices cost:
$17,623 on salmon (more than the average family will spend on food this year).
$835 on orange juice
$3861 on veal (Rome)
$4213 on creme brulee (Rome)
$3800 on chocolate mousse (Rome)
$593 on Luxury Normandy Butter Cups (Brussels)
They tried to justify these expenses by pointing out the opposition leaders budget that includes staff and rental space etc and is $246 Million less than the Prime Minister’s and Privy Council budget. #cdnpoli
COLUMN: PM Mark Carney can spin his annual federal deficits any way he likes, but a report by the Parliamentary Budget Officer says they're going to be billions of dollars higher for the next 5 years than he predicted in his spring mini-budget 37 days ago.

BREAKING: Carney blows through his deficit numbers again, says his Parliamentary Budget Officer today.
He’s on track to add $23 billion more to the deficit than he projected a month ago in his spring update.
No wonder Canada is the only G20 country in recession. He’s the banker who can’t budget.
Ukraine is not in recession.
Canada is.
Read that again.
Ukraine is fighting missiles, blackouts, energy strikes, transport disruption, and a full-scale war.
Canada is fighting Trudeau, Freeland, Carney, and the Liberal Party.
Ukraine took a war-hit Q1 and is still forecast to grow in 2026.
Canada had GDP drop in Q4, flatline in Q1, and business investment fall for 5 straight quarters.
No missiles.
No bombed-out power grid.
No front line.
Just Liberal economics doing what Liberal economics does.
Ukraine has war.
Canada has Liberals.
That is the embarrassment.
You know, this woman, like almost all politicians, seems to think even a grassroots movement such as Alberta independence is dependent on the oh-so-powerful politicians to give "oxygen" to the desires of independent citizens.
Not one of them seems to believe that we are individual, capable people who somehow manage to run businesses, households, raise families, pay taxes and do the innumerable tasks that keep society going.
Not one of them thinks that we can think as clearly as they can
Not one of believes, in spite of the proven business acumen of many independence seekers, that we'd be capable of building a nation.
They all seem to think that somehow we need their "oxygen", their "brilliance" and their wonderful insight to do anything.
Well, news to them apparently - we're more than capable of building a nation where those in government know that they must first and foremost be servants of the people.
When I hear drivel as what comes out of the mouth of current and former politicians, I wonder if the right answer is to disqualify any current politician or senior civil servant from serving in the government of an independent Alberta.
Today I introduced legislation to ban floor crossing without voter consent. When MPs switch parties after an election, they override the will of the people and erode trust. My bill restores accountability: if you want to change parties, face your constituents and let them decide.
Blaming the previous government for weak economic growth would be more compelling if Mr. Carney wasn't also the Chair of the Liberals' Task Force on Economic Growth under the previous government. #cdnpoli
