We are delighted that 50,000 additional nurses have joined the workforce since 2019. This is great news for the NHS and great news for patients.
The NHS Long Term Workforce Plan has also committed to increasing training places for nursing associates (NAs) to 10,500 by 2031/32.
Thank you to our funder @NGSOpenGardens for the incredible donation of £425,000 from all of us at the QNI and all #ExtraordinaryQNs! We couldn't do what we do without your support! @CrystalOldman
We need to tackle the root causes of why so many young people need support with their mental health. Our education system, inequality, global crises, cost of living, discrimination, social systems… If we don’t, the number of referrals to services will only go up.
And our mental health services can’t cope with the current demand. They are already severely overstretched and underfunded and young people face agonising waiting times. 24,000 young people have been waiting for support for two years.
Radical reform is needed.
To anyone feeling down and unable to cope right now, take a look at our website. Here you can find advice and information on where to find help. And be kind to yourself. Life can be tough. That's why it is so important to prioritise your needs. https://t.co/eIelrbViwI
