“Demonising victims of trafficking and contemporary forms of slavery erodes public sympathy for measures to protect them and may lead to attacks on these groups by extremists.” - GENEVA (19 December 2022) #HumanTrafficking#modernslavery#HumanRights
Did you know?
An estimated 30 to 40 million people are victims of human trafficking worldwide. About 25 percent of these victims are children. Victims are often prevented from seeking help due to language barriers and fear of traffickers or law enforcement. #HumanTrafficking

We need to be conscious consumers and raise our voices
against these brands and demand better for men, women and children over the world who are
held in abusive contracts just so the rich can get richer.

Some brands have started holding themselves accountable for recruiting through reliable third
parties, and some have removed the middleman altogether to get rid of the chances of
promoting forced labor in the supply chain.
However, as long as big corporations keep cutting
costs, they will fall liable to underpaying, and overworking their labor. Outsourcing work to
countries which have poorer labor regulation mechanisms is the easiest way in which large
brands undertake this venture.
