In one case the 2 bikes enter the corner with their lines being "parallel", in the other one the driver who overtakes inside crosses the trajectory of the following one by going wide and then tightening the corner from the wide line

Marc was fully wide -> Pecco could easily re-enter and he fell AFTER he was hit. Marc can't have the reaction times of youngsters like Pedro. He must take into account they never give up...

@Puppetbet @MotoGP @marcmarquez93 @PeccoBagnaia Or course there are more lines, but notice: Pecco did not go wide. The contact happened by Marc re-entering the optimal line which was Pecco's. I am saying that Marc had to go on wide. He left the optimal line undefended. Look at many past races with similar last corners actions

@Puppetbet @MotoGP @marcmarquez93 @PeccoBagnaia From the moment he went wide, he was wide. He went wide so he'd had to complete the turn wide. He'd have had an easier and clearer chance later on. Pecco was doing his turn, Marc hit him by tightening the trajectory. Look at Pedro Acosta race if you aim at clean overtakes.
