We will be sharing further details in the coming weeks and look forward to unveiling what lies ahead.

As 2025 moves towards exhaling its final hours, we are tempted to treat midnight as a harmless marker, a line we all casually cross together. But history and reality tell us otherwise.
Between now and 12 midnight, some hearts will beat for the last time. Some breaths will quietly end. Some people who woke up this morning with plans, worries, and unfinished conversations will not witness the arrival of 2026. Not because they were less careful. Not because they were less deserving. Simply because time is not promised, it is allotted.
End of a year is not just a celebration of survival. We count years, but life counts moments. We make resolutions, yet life is resolved on its own terms. What humbles the wise is not the fear of death, but the awareness of uncertainty. The realization that the future we speak of so confidently is a courtesy, not a right.
If the year has taught me anything, it is that life is brief, control is limited, and meaning is found not in how long we live, but in how consciously we live.
May we be among those who witness the new year and those who wake up with another chance to do better. And should we be granted that chance, may we not waste it pretending time is infinite.
In my latest article, I discussed the urgent crisis facing Nigeria's healthcare system. With a maternal mortality ratio of 814 per 100,000 live births and a neonatal mortality rate of 34 per 1,000, the situation is dire. Nigerian doctors, among the lowest-paid in the world, are leaving in droves for better opportunities abroad and non clinical practice. This brain drain is severely impacting our healthcare, especially in rural areas. My article touched on the critical need for competitive salaries and improved working conditions to retain our skilled medical professionals and strengthen our healthcare system. Read on to understand the challenges and explore potential solutions.
I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Our choices are the threads that weave together the fabric of our destiny. Each decision, whether big or small, shapes the course of our journey and molds the person we become. It is in these moments of choice that we hold the power to shape our own reality.
Celebrating the Boundless Potential of Every Child on Children's Day
Today, we celebrate the bright smiles, boundless energy, and endless possibilities that children bring into our lives. It's a day to cherish and honor the incredible young souls who hold the key to our future.
On this special occasion, let us pause and reflect on the immense responsibility we have towards our children. They are not just the hope of tomorrow, but the promise of a better world. It is our duty to nurture and protect them, to guide them with love, compassion, and unwavering support.
Children are like delicate buds, ready to blossom into magnificent flowers. They possess an innate curiosity, an insatiable hunger for knowledge, and an incredible capacity to learn and adapt. As adults, it is our responsibility to cultivate their curiosity, to encourage their dreams, and to provide them with the tools they need to flourish.
But let us not forget that childhood is a precious and fleeting phase. It's a time for laughter, play, and exploration. It's a time to embrace their innocence, and to encourage their imagination. Let's create an environment where they feel safe, loved, and empowered to be their authentic selves.
However, in our pursuit of progress, let's remember that children are not mere extensions of ourselves or pawns in our ambitions. They deserve to be treated with respect, dignity, and empathy. Their voices should be heard, their opinions valued, and their rights protected.
Yet, we must acknowledge that not every child enjoys the same privileges and opportunities. There are millions who are deprived of basic necessities, denied access to education, or caught in the cycle of poverty and violence. It is our collective responsibility to advocate for their rights, to create opportunities for their growth, and to ensure that no child is left behind.
Education, my friends, is the key that unlocks the door to a brighter future for our children. It empowers them, instills confidence, and ignites their potential. It is through education that we can break the shackles of ignorance and poverty and pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable world. So let us strive to ensure that every child has access to quality education, regardless of their geographical location or socio-economic status.
Each child is a unique gift to humanity, possessing talents, ideas, and perspectives that can enrich our world in ways we cannot even fathom.
On this Children's Day, let us pledge to be champions for our children, to protect their rights, and to create a world where their dreams can take flight. It is in our hands to shape a future where every child can thrive, a future where their hopes and aspirations become reality.
Remember, a child's smile is the purest form of joy. Let us strive to keep that smile alive, for it holds the power to change the world.

It’s World #HealthWorker Week!
A special shout-out to all the amazing 👩🏽⚕️👨🏽⚕️ Doctors, Midwives, Nurses, Care workers, Technicians, Pharmacist, and others.
As a doctor, I have faced unique challenges that have sometimes taken a toll on my physical and emotional well-being, days that I feel tired, stressed, discouraged, and even fearful. When such days come I make it a priority to remind myself why I choose this path in the first place - to make a difference in the lives of countless individuals and families. I remind myself every small effort counts, and if I can help someone to improve their quality of life, no matter how small, I've accomplished my goal.
So to the many others who are working towards the same goal, let us take a moment to celebrate ourselves, recognize the impact that we are making, and recharge ourselves for the challenges that lie ahead. We are in this together and may we always have the strength to keep saving lives and continue making a difference.
