@John_Herald7 candidates’ incompetencies and made for a more informed electorate which is obvious by us gaining 615 votes - the highest votes RON has reveived in UGSU history. We are very pleased with this remarkable milestone result. (2/2)
@John_Herald7 We campaigned for a mere 13 hours before voting opened. The other candidates campaigned for a week or more. We knew we weren’t going to win - we aren’t naïve, but yet we still managed to place 3rd out of 5.
So by our measures this is a victory, sheds lights on the (1/2)
We only launched our campaign with 13 hours to go before voting opened and yet we still managed to pull numbers that saw us ending up with with just under a quarter of the vote.
This is record breaking and speaks volumes as to the incompetency of the candidates.
@John_Herald7 we aren’t suppressing any argument.. we’re questioning the candidates positions, manifestos and skeletons that are in their closet. our coalition’s faces are irrelevant when we are representing the genuine concerns that a large cohort of the student body have expressed.
“Cheap pints” this, “cheap pints” that.
What about addressing women’s safety? The increase in the spiking of drinks? Sexual violence and harassment? Addiction? Drug testing? Mental health and counselling services on campus?
Or are they just reactionary after thoughts?
