- Just finished Wonder Man — and it’s incredible
- Marvel hasn’t delivered characters this human and empathetic in a long time
- From the very first moment, the series feels different
1. Not a classic superhero story
2. Less about spectacle, more about character, emotion, and satire
3. The Hollywood satire works completely in its favor
- The Simon & Trevor duo is the heart of the series
1. Their relationship feels genuine, funny, and emotional
2. Trevor acts as Simon’s anchor, helping him regulate his powers under stress
3. A subtle but brilliantly written detail
- The series makes one thing crystal clear:
1. Simon is a mutant
2. His powers activate under extreme physical and emotional stress
3. This feels like the true beginning of the mutant saga in the MCU
- Simon is also ridiculously powerful
1. The show doesn’t downplay how overpowered he really is
- Damage Control returns
1. Reinforces the idea of a prison for powered individuals (likely mutants)
2. Opens major connections, especially with Spider-Man
3. Feels like they won’t stop hunting mutants anytime soon
- Can’t help but think… they’re after Jean Grey 👀

- After Wonder Man, I have huge faith in the next Spider-Man movie
1. Destin Daniel Cretton’s work—especially the episodes he directed—was excellent
2. Simon’s arc is deep, grounded, and beautifully constructed
3. Now I really want to see what he does with Peter Parker
