@AerLingus Pls explain the rationale behind the change to fare and tax structure conveniently resulting in "free change of flights" no longer realistic for passengers. Same flight times same airports different date. Basic fare 90 dearer but overall flight cost only 18 euro more.

Taxes €43.75 per person offset by a very convenient significantly increased basic fare. Please also provide a breakdown of this tax. Dates 16th to 18th September.

@AerLingus I understand that fares can increase however in this instance the fares have increased but taxes dropped balancing out the overall fare. Clearly aer Lingus had buried their own additional charges within the taxes. Why else would taxes drop so significantly on the same route?
