This public healthcare facility—which the Ministry had diligently refurbished and equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology to serve as a lifeline and a safe haven for displaced residents and those steadfastly remaining in border areas—is now facing systematic destruction that reveals a profound moral bankruptcy and deep-seated criminality. The occupation forces did not merely occupy the facility previously and convert it into a military barracks; they have now gone so far as to burn it down completely, thereby depriving the people of the South of their most basic human rights to medical treatment and healthcare.

The Ministry asserts that targeting medical institutions and healthcare personnel constitutes a full-fledged war crime and a blatant violation of international conventions. It calls upon the international community, the World Health Organization, and the International Committee of the Red Cross to immediately break their suspicious silence and hold the occupation accountable for its repeated crimes against Lebanon’s health sector. Furthermore, the Ministry emphasizes that these criminal acts will not break the people's resolve; the Ministry remains committed to fulfilling its national and humanitarian duty and supporting the people of the South with all available resources, regardless of the sacrifices required.

🔴 NEW: Palestinian-American journalist and Drop Site contributor Naqaa Hamed is being held in Hasharon, a temporary detention facility in central Israel, and is expected to be transferred to Damon Prison, located near Haifa where most Palestinian female prisoners are held.

🔸 Hamed’s lawyer, Khaled Mahajneh, said during Thursday’s military court session, she was accused of incitement against Israeli settlers and the army, communicating with the enemy, and cooperating with the enemy.

🔸 Mahajneh argued in the session that Hamed was a professional journalist and her arrest came solely because of a campaign targeting her by Israeli settlers. He told Drop Site “the whole case is related to her journalistic work.” The military court ruled to extend her detention by six days to complete their “investigation.” Mahajneh submitted an appeal.

🔸 The Committee to Protect Journalists condemned Hamed’s detention, saying “Israeli authorities should immediately free Hamed and publicly clarify the legal basis for her detention. Unsubstantiated espionage allegations must not be used to criminalize journalism, and the systemic harassment and intimidation targeting her work in the occupied West Bank must end."

BREAKING: Saudi Aramco has told European oil refiners they will receive no crude oil at all next month, with the cut applying to every single European customer on long-term contracts, after the attacks that shut the East-West pipeline, per Bloomberg.

This confirms Tuesday's initial reports that Aramco had scrapped every remaining September cargo to Europe with no Saudi crude until November. The world's largest crude oil exporter is out of the European market for a full month, on term contracts that normally deliver every month, while it bids for diesel in that same market.

Trump- and Rubio-linked investors, lobbyists and political allies jockeying for access to Cuban assets as foreign companies are forced out amid Washington's maximum pressure campaign.
