🟢Given that Woolworths boasts a $50 billion market capitalisation and raked in $1.38 billion in profit last year, why is Blackout Bowen handing this corporate giant $22 million of taxpayers’ money for 148 electric trucks — roughly $150,000 per vehicle?
🟢If these trucks are supposedly so advanced and commercially superior, why do they need a massive taxpayer subsidy at all?
The answer is obvious: they’re not commercially viable without it.These T5 Battery Electric Trucks carry a sticker price of $153,395. That means Woolworths is getting brand-new trucks essentially for free, paid for by Australian taxpayers and their small-business competitors who are being forced to subsidise their own destruction.
🟢Why is $22 million of Australian taxpayers’ money being funnelled (or should we say laundered) through a foreign corporation headquartered in the UK so it can ultimately buy Chinese-made trucks to lease to Woolworths ?
🟢Imagine the army of middlemen, consultants, grifters and political fixers all clipping the ticket on this one taxpayer funded deal.
🟢If the handout per truck is $150,000 and list price of the trucks is ($153,395) why not just try and get a discount to buy 148 of them, and hand the free trucks to Woolworths ?
🟢Is it because there’s are army of grifters and spivs that need to get a cut of this rort ?
🟢Why is the ACCC allowing Woolworths to lie that these trucks deliver a “greener delivery”?
In New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland they will be charged overnight on coal-fired power, and the enormous CO₂ emissions generated during their manufacture will never be offset by any supposed operational “savings.”
🟢How does the head of Bowen’s CEFC get away with claiming “This investment reflects commercial viability” when a $150,000 price tag for a small 2-tonne truck proves the exact opposite?
It is only “viable” because taxpayers are being forced to cover the huge difference.
🟢While Australians are being crushed by the cost of living, housing shortages and failing infrastructure, why is the Albanese regimes priority is to gift free trucks to a company already swimming in profit ?
It is grotesque.
🟢What about Woolworths’ small-business competitors?
Their taxes are being used to bankroll the very corporation that is trying to drive them out of business.
🟢Does Bowen and Labor really hate Australian small businesses that much — is it simply because Woolworths’ heavily unionised workforce funnels money into Labor’s coffers while small businesses do not?
🟢And why won’t the media call this out for the blatant rort, the giant boondoggle and the textbook case of crony capitalism that it is?
🟢Is it because they’re dependent on Woolworths’ advertising dollars, or because the ABC is too busy running political protection for the Albanese regime?
🟢And where is anyone from the Liberal Party calling it out ? Or are they all hiding under their desks. Again ?
🟠Thank God One Nation has a policy to scrap Net Zero. That would finally mean cleaning out and shutting down the CEFC and ending this kind of corporate welfare scam once and for all.
🔴Alternatively, if you want your tax dollars to be handed to Woolworths to provide them with free trucks - keep voting Labor for more of the same. 🤯
@Ausbobsmit@GenXTruther72 Sorry old mate you are not allowing for the incompetent factor, the AFP have trouble investigating anything and any success only comes when working with a state police force in a joint operation.
In Australia, if you have a conversation with someone who criticises Islam, you get fired from your six-figure-a-year job.
But if you openly call for the death of Jews, you get a taxpayer-funded podcast on Spotify.
Dai Le got stuck into Albanese in parliament over insider trading by Labor politicians in property transactions prior to the announcing of the negative gearing changes.
Good job. We could do with her in one nation.
Hezbollah merchandise sold at Sydney Shia mosque - Husaineyat Sayeda Zaynab
Hezbollah is a listed terrorist organisation in Australia so we should shut this radical mosque down and deport.
This is absolutely beautiful and the Democrats have been moaning and groaning and possed off about what he’s doing to it.
More proof Democrats are just mentally disturbed.
Brisbane based MP Anika Wells has charged taxpayers up to $337 for single Comcar rides as short as 3km around Canberra, repeatedly blaming ‘unexpected delays’ for the inflated costs. Full story: https://t.co/yWn9rFZymI
My brain literally just went mash potatoes.
Idk how many more times I can say WTAF about crazy ass stuff before the phrase looses meaning from excessive overuse.
Anyone seen 👀 Krissy Barrett, the AFP commissioner.
Krissy was quick to front the cameras when she arrested BRS but is nowhere to be seen when actual ISIS terrorist are flying in.
