When I started working with computers, way back in 1967, we had real computer engineers, real programmers, and even real -internal- IT departments. The incident that occurred yesterday just needed a 5-minute fix to get things started again. It’s a scandal that so many companies suddenly stopped working because of a failed update. Where were the ICT people? A simple fix was even published here on X very early in the day! Was it too difficult to implement? Shame on you; shame on all the IT department managers, internal or external. Of course, the shameless media grabbed this non-event to make it a worldwide crisis, which it was not. They have now convinced the majority of people that it was a real problem. Wake up. It was not.

The CDC, before it became the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, was the US Malaria Suppression Program in Atlanta, Georgia, which did what? It advocated for the distribution of hydroxychloroquine.

The institutions that demonized hydroxychloroquine were once its strongest believers.
