Now that loading rates for Dangote refinery is publicly known as stated by IPMAN - N940 and N990. Every marketer will now understand the importance of running an efficient downstream business.
Every inefficiency along the value chain reduces the profit margin. If you use old trucks that guzzle diesel to transport products, you are on your own. If your pumps consume electricity more than usual, or you have 16 fuel attendants watching Facebook skits all through the day while earning salaries, you will have a lower margin.
If you have excess space and you can't convert it to a car service shop or grocery store to earn additional income to offset cost, you will learn the hard way. If you tamper with your pump in a deregulated market, it's only a matter of time before the consumers discover that they get less value for money.
A proper market rewards efficiency while subsidies kill competition and reward mediocrity.

@mrlurvy ibo people molested a storyline they had NO business with.
They were intimidated by d popularity of "Oyo movies" and called this farce a breath of fresh air.
They've missed their Aba movies so badly & rushed to destroy a wonderful storyline.
@mrlurvy The Yoruba guys involved in that highjacking are still very much alive.
A lot could have been distilled from them to create a robust back story.
But Asaba-wood said NO.
Not even a genuine attempt was made to recreate the realities of 1993 Nigeria.
How Can Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Condemn Madame Tinubu Yet Honour a Man Who Says IPOB Are Not Terrorists?
I just read with great dismay the post by Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour condemning efforts on the part of filmmakers to capture the exploits of a genuine heroine of the Lukumi people of Yorubaland, and I am taken aback that this is a man who believes he represents the aspirations of the people of Lagos.
Amongst other historical inaccuracies, Mr. Rhodes-Vivour alleges that Madame Tinubu was exiled from Lagos because of her activities as a slaver. Actually, that is a historical fallacy, and I will touch on that.
But first, let me say that his disdain for Madame Tinubu exposed a rather shallow thought process and small-picture thinking. You cannot use today's attitudes to define yesterday's heroes.
Please fact-check me: George Washington, the main founding father of the United States and its first President, was an enslaver. Mr. Washington owned 317 African American slaves. Yet, today, he is the number one national hero of the United States, with many African Americans bearing the name Washington, which is the seventh most common name among African Americans.
Additionally, President Washington's face adorns the one-dollar bill. At the same time, his birthday is a public holiday in the United States, known as President's Day.
If Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour had really treasured the history of Eko, he would have known that Madame Efunroye Tinubu was not being honoured because she was a slave trader. Her canonisation in Lagos history is because she was one of the first people in the geographical area now known as Nigeria to fight the British. She wanted a free Lagos that was not controlled by Great Britain.
For fighting to maintain the independence of Eko, she lost most of her wealth and was banished to Abeokuta.
While in Abeokuta, she built up her lost wealth from scratch, and when war broke out between the Egbas and Dahomey, Madame Efunroye Tinubu was singlehandedly responsible for saving the Egbas, as she revived her secret mercantile network and used it to procure guns and gunpowder for the Egba army, for which Alake Okukenu Sagbua made her the Iyalode of Egba. If not for her, Egbaland could have been a part of Benin Republic today.
For this and other reasons, the city fathers of Lagos decided in their wisdom to name the most prominent promenade in Lagos Tinubu Square, in honour of Madame Efunroye Tinubu.
As such, I find it hard to believe that someone who wants to govern Lagos and styles himself as a Lagosian does not know this.
Is Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour trying to say that a woman who achieved all of the above is not worthy of being remembered in history and her legacy documented on film? Yet, he honours Peter Obi, the same man who said that 'IPOB are not terrorists'?
At least Madame Tinubu did not kill anybody. IPOB and their armed wing, ESN, have been involved in multiple killings and their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, was caught on video ordering his members to burn Lagos, following which Lagos suffered approximately $500 million worth of damage with 80 BRT buses, and the best forensic laboratory in Africa burnt to the ground.
Please fact-check me: Michael Chinasa, a known supporter of Nnamdi Kanu, was arrested and prosecuted for burning down the Oyingbo BRT Bus Terminal. Today, he is cooling his heels at Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison.
Yet, here we have Mr. Rhodes Vivour, a man aspiring to govern Lagos, glorifying Peter Obi, who says IPOB are not terrorists, and denigrating Madame Efunroye Tinubu, who fought for the independence of Lagos.

The Obidient movement took down my first X (twitter) account of over 10,000 followers and I had to start all over last year 2023 with this new account.
I am grateful to all my followers and to the people I am following.
I reached 20,000 followers today.
I am grateful for the support. I am not "shaking yansh" or promoting celebrities but writing about Yoruba civilization and Geopolitics yet you wonderful people didn't push my message aside. When I was attacked, you all stood up to defend my message and TYF.
Thank you all for your support, may Almighty God continue to with you all, both my friends and my foes.
The journey has just began.

Queen Aminat of Zaria we know,Efunroye Tinubu,Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti we read of. These were women who shaped the political trajectory of their time. We understand why you're angry, your fathers didn't empower your women, they dehumanised them by making them drink corpse water.
You may not have historical figures worthy of praise and admiration, but that does not mean that others should denigrate their own icons so that you do not feel insecure.
When Madame Efunroye Tinubu had this picture taken in the 1860s, she was a self-made woman who had amassed the greatest fortune of any woman in West Africa. She used her wealth to fight the British for Lagos's independence and save Egbaland from Dahomey.
Look at how richly she is attired. This was at a time when some people were completely butt naked.
Do you think it was easy for a woman to have over three hundred staff in the 19th Century?
Madame Efunroye Tinubu was not just a mercantile politician. She was also one of the pioneers of industrial agriculture in Nigeria. The place now known today as Igbobi, where we have the National Orthopaedic Hospital, was her property.
She owned the land and cultivated kolanuts there. The area became known as Igbo-obi, which means forest of kola nut in Yoruba. The government bought Igbo-obi from her, and the locality gradually became known as Igbobi.
And you say that a woman of such epoch-defining qualities should not be honoured because you are offended? If the biopic offends you, then please do not watch it!
