@teacher2teacher Action speaks louder than words. The consequence doesnt need to be punitive. Reflection is a positive consequence that can help students understand perspective. Writing down, journaling, making the reflection piece actually tangable. Social contracts, behavior plans, etc.
@WeinsteinEdu@teachergoals II have to realize this sometimes. Doing interventions, then assessing and seeing little to no growth is disheartning. "Wisdom is planting a seedling, knowing you will never see the shade it will provide."
Much love and thanks to our teachers who ran gaming at Valor Con: Mr. Fish, Mr. Fahres, and Mr. Gregory. You three really kept kids engaged. Thank you!!! GMI Games Warhammer 40K was a big hit too! @gmigames@RoninTeacher
Check out VVUSD's first comic book convention, Valor Con! Check out vendors, cosplayers, gaming, and meet real comic artists! Free food for the first 500 visitors.
Leaders, LEAN IN! One of my favorite quotes is from Rita Pierson, “Kids don’t learn from people they don’t like.” May I add…..NEITHER DO ADULTS! Let’s model building strong relationships with our teachers, parents, central office, and community! #EduTwitter#BOSSEducator
