In his recent ministry in the Philippines, Elder @Ulisses__Soares of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles referenced the outstretched arms of the Christ the Redeemer statue located in his native Brazil. Saying the Lord is willing to embrace every person, Elder Soares testified that the Savior’s “arms are extended to all of us.” As part of his Philippines ministry, the Apostle met with young adults in both Cebu and Quezon City and with missionaries at the Philippines Missionary Training Center.
Sister J. Anette Dennis, first counselor in the Relief Society general presidency, recently visited Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama and Nicaragua, sharing love and support for women and children and announcing Church humanitarian donations there. In a devotional with more than 800 Latter-day Saint women at one stop, she said: “You’re not lost to our Heavenly Father. You have been sent at this time to be a force for good.”
And while preparing to welcome the world to Temple Square next year, the Church is looking for volunteers and performers in its Salt Lake Temple Celebration. Online applications are open now through July 15. Volunteers should commit to at least eight weeks of service during the six-month celebration.
There is no one who is more joyful than Jesus Christ, but we also read in the scriptures that "Jesus wept" (John 11:35, New Testament). The joyful truth is that Christ weeps with us. By choosing to walk with Christ, we choose joy. We let go of sin and let Him heal our hearts.
The purpose of making covenants is to draw us closer to our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. We are beloved sons and daughters of God, and He desires that we experience joy in this life. Our covenants can serve as constant reminders of these sacred truths.
The Savior has commanded each of us to love God and to love our neighbor. We are grateful for the faithful efforts of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who strive to fulfill this divine commandment. Their service is a witness of discipleship.
My counselors in the First Presidency and I recently visited the Church’s new humanitarian center in Salt Lake City. This facility will serve an important role in preparing and distributing emergency supplies to meet global needs.
I express appreciation for members of the Church and for all who minister in quiet and consistent ways. I testify of Jesus Christ, whose light and Spirit guide the children of God in caring for the poor and the distressed throughout the world.
May we each accept and act upon this sacred responsibility to bless the lives of all of our Father’s children.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has made it a priority to increase access to clean, safe drinking water and adequate hygiene facilities.

Will you please remember what the Lord told Samuel?
“Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7).

In San Antonio, Texas, Latter-day Saints and friends recently gathered for a community event to celebrate the traditions and cultures of Texas. A live DJ performed throughout the event and led a family dance. And teenagers gave a patriotic performance and a Christ-centered musical number.
Today, my counselors in the First Presidency and I were grateful for the opportunity to visit the Salt Lake Temple, which has been undergoing a significant renovation since 2020.
We look forward to welcoming people from throughout the world during the Salt Lake Temple Celebration and open house, to be held from April through October 2027.
Above all, we look forward to teaching about the sacred purposes of temples throughout the world. In the temple, faithful men and women receive divine instruction, sacred responsibilities, and spiritual power.
It is in the temple that eternal covenants are made that bind us and our families to our Heavenly Father and to one another for eternity.
Weird uptick in hate here lately, and I know a lot of you are feeling it.
So let me say this plainly.
Stay anchored.
Do not let angry strangers turn your testimony into a cage fight. Do not let mockery make you ashamed of sacred things. Do not let loud people convince you that faith has to apologize for existing.
We can be firm without being cruel. We can be bold without becoming bitter. We can defend truth without losing the Spirit that taught it to us in the first place.
Christ was mocked too.
Keep going. #SaintsOnX

As a teenager, my life was peppered with uncertainties and anxieties about the future.
One day during my Sunday School class, my teacher shared a verse of scripture that changed my perspective and brought an infusion of light into my mind and heart. These words have continued to help me in many of life’s situations.
President @UchtdorfDF, acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and Young Women General President Emily Belle Freeman welcomed members of the local and national media to Temple Square in Salt Lake City on Monday, April 13. Less than a month after all the scaffolding was removed from around the Salt Lake Temple, media was invited to converge on Temple Square to get a first look at the visitors’ center that will welcome guests from around the world for years to come.“The openness of this visitors’ center will show you how temples look inside,” President @UchtdorfDF says in a video by Church News.

Life moves fast, but real peace isn’t found when life slows down, it’s found amid the chaos through Jesus Christ.
His peace brings hope, new beginnings, and a fresh start that lasts.
Less than 24 hours after the conclusion of the 196th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, President Rosemary K. Chibota and her newly called counselors of the Church’s Primary general presidency sat down with Church News to talk about their testimonies and impressions after being sustained into their new callings.
“I know that children are very precious to our Father in Heaven and that He loves them,” President Chibota said as she sat in the now-calm setting of the Church Office Building lobby on Monday, April 6.
President Chibota and her counselors, Sister Nina M. Garfield and Sister Theresa A. Collins, will have a few months to let the calling set in before they begin their service on Aug. 1.
