However, Paula's dedication came at a cost, and she experienced some side effects after receiving the COVID vaccines. In her testimony, Paula shares her experience of the side effects she faced after getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

In addition to the challenges faced by healthcare workers like herself, Paula also witnessed the heartbreaking isolation and confinement of residents in the nursing home where she worked. Many residents were placed in their rooms and isolated for extended periods of up to 2 months, which left them feeling lonely and disconnected from the world.
