Ss put on a puppet show about a doctor’s visit and role-played a doctor-patient conversation 👨‍⚕️ 👩‍⚕️ Loved hearing their creative prescriptions such as not doing homework, candy after every meal and even getting a new iPhone 🤣🤭 | @ParticipateLrng @Ndavis615 @eastcarymiddle

We commemorated “Día de los muertos” by putting up our “ofrenda” to all the deceased loved ones from our scholars. Other classes joined us to learn more about this festivity and pay their respects #culturalactivity #unitingourworld @Ndavis615 @ParticipateLrng @eastcarymiddle

Cempasúchil (marigolds) are used to decorate gravesites and altars since they guide the spirits back to the land of the living using their vibrant colors and pungent scent. @eastcarymiddle scholars made some to beautify our ofrenda @Ndavis615 @ParticipateLrng @mlopez8science

“Papel picado” is hung on streets, homes and businesses during Mexican celebrations. @eastcarymiddle scholars joined the tradition and made some as well to decorate our hallways and altar for “Dia de los muertos” (day of the dead) @Ndavis615 @mlopez8science @ParticipateLrng
