If, like me, you believe Trump is a fascist & a genuine threat to democracy, and if you said all that during the campaign, then when he wins, you can’t run down to Mar-a-Lago and break bread with him. You just can’t. Not if you believe what you said about him. You can’t normalize that. You can’t make nice with a fascist who just got elected. An American president who is a fascist is an enemy to this country. You must, if you believe that, continue to stand on principle and oppose him. And if that means falling ratings, or a loss of followers, or the loss of access & relevancy, or even the loss of your platform, so be it. This is a unique time, he is a unique threat, do not be afraid. Don’t let fear rule over you. That is…if you TRULY believe what you said about him during the campaign.
