people need to be a bit more considerate! I recently had a commissioner who has sent me an ai image as a character reference so I inquired and turned out they got scammed out of a ref with ai too and only used a "useable" part of it as ref. I doodled them a little replacement so

I got scammed by an ai artist on my reference sheet. I tried so hard taking it around vgen artists to make real art out of it but they all refused to help. Very sad. I find it nearly impossible to look around on google, deviant art, Pinterest, etc for references bc theyre all ai art.
I try just searching up a hairstyle to hand in as a reference and its denied. And I certainly lack the skills to draw what I envision myself.
I wish artists were more open to accepting people who are just using it as a reference (not generating it themselves but people who got scammed or found something on google randomly). And not punish the customers who are trying to pay for real art in a world that is drown out by ai.

I think I'm going to stop commissioning vgen artists who add undisclosed fees to commissions after placing the order. It's so damn easy to just CONSIDER the fees when pricing your shit, making customers pay some fees (say p/pal) is straight up against tos and can get you banned
