#Kerala doesn't have an #investor problem. It has a #land problem.
#HealthEdge@HealthEdge just leased 162,000 sq. ft. in #Technopark,#Trivandrum ,11 floors and 1,500 seats.
And this isn't even HealthEdge's first #Kerala bet as they already run a campus in #Kochi.
A global tech company doubling down on Kerala. That's where the real story starts.
A 1,500-seat campus is never just desks. It's:
โ High-value jobs
โ Housing demand
โ Restaurants, transport, professional services
โ More companies chasing the same talent pool
One large company can start an ecosystem. Imagine this 20 times over.
The market already priced it in as Brigade Enterprises, the developer behind this campus, jumped nearly 4-6% on the NSE the day the news broke. Investors betting on real, durable demand in a cities where most big developers still treat as Tier II/III.
That's a signal for every mega-builder still sitting on the sidelines: move into Kerala's emerging corridors now, before the land re-rates.
Bengaluru is still the dominant GCC market. But its office rents rise 10-12% year-on-year,the fastest among India's gateway markets.
Kerala doesn't need to compete with Bengaluru or Hyderabad and it never can. But it can still win on talent, quality of life, lower congestion, emerging corridors, and land that is still priced below its future potential.
The government need not wait for the next investor. Build the land ecosystem first thinking beyond the existing land acquisition ways through:
โ PPP for Grade-A employment districts
โ Land pooling along new corridors or towns.
โ Transit-oriented development around future stations
โ Value capture from infrastructure-driven land appreciation
โ Higher FAR where it makes sense
โ Cash-plus-annuity where acquisition is unavoidable
The Thiruvananthapuram Outer Ring Road just got final PPPAC approval in BOT mode. For me, it's not only a road announcement, but it's a future land-value map, already drawn.
Same logic, every corridor in Kerala which is in plan or execution stage and the government shall pitch in for ,
โ Identifying the nodes
โ Assembling the land
โ Set up the transportation systems
โ Bring in developers
โ Plan the offices, housing and logistics
Before speculation prices the opportunity away.
The real failure isn't building the road late. It's building it first and only then asking what goes around it.
HealthEdge proves Kerala can attract large-scale tech expansion.
The harder test: can Kerala design the land ecosystem before the companies arrive, and turn this into 100,000 jobs instead of 1,500?
Get that right, and HealthEdge isn't the headline. It's the opening line.
If you work in land policy, urban planning, or GCC real estate โ what's the single biggest blocker to assembling land ahead of infrastructure in India right now?

As always, it was a great honour and pleasure to engage in constructive discussions with my good friend, Keralam CM @vdsatheesan. He is fully briefed, receptive to ideas, and a man of action. I have no doubt that the future of Kerala is safe in his hands.
Yesterday, Janmabhoomi reported that Malappuram led Kerala in arrests under Operation Toofan.
It didn't.
The ranking comes from comparing police administrative units with geographical districts.
Compare like with like. Here are the facts. ๐งต 1/7
@Dilliwalanerd33@I44945572 Our corporation can barely keep up with the needed sterilization rates. And with that shitty supreme court order even that sort of came to a halt
@Dilliwalanerd33@I44945572 Nice. My issue is that people shouldnt be forced to be on their toes while walking on the streets and made to share them with packs of dogs. Its both a safety+aesthetic concern for me. Growing up even my dogs didnt spare me,Ive had instances where they chased me around the house.
1. It is inconsistent. You are good one minute and you are not anymore.
2. It is embarrassing. You are in a loop of trying and failing.
3. How do you find the words to explain something you barely understand even.
Its not a win to let abrahamics celetrate onam.
The 3rd order and 4th order effects will be seen in 10years.
They will normalise beef in onam sadya. Already that has started.
I was pro cultural assimilation. Now i can understand y some stuffs r gatekept.
Whichever way you look at it, itโs good to see a politician not reducing the women of this country to โbetiโbahuโbehen.โ About time! Nicely done @RahulGandhi
Whatever reasons the centre might claim, far too often this is purely dirty politics at play. Not like he is going to Pakistan, where the centre can claim some greater foreign policy/security interests.
This is not a power the Centre should have. The head of a State govt cannot be treated like this.
