#PhoolPishiOEdward is a curiosity, not a film. It models itself on Leela Majumdar, and wants to be the Bengali answer to Agatha Christie, but it becomes a bland, neutered blend of both and neither.

And this is despite the solid turns from Sohini Sengupta and Shyamoupti Mudly!

Normalize making one-and-done romcoms, instead of stretching them out into overwrought franchises. Falling back on existing IPs all the time is a sloppy tactic.

According to reports by Aakashavaani, #Premalu2 has reportedly been shelved after the makers were unable to crack a screenplay that lived up to expectations.

With the script not shaping up as intended, the team has seemingly decided to move on from the project.
