This appears to confirm what everyone who interacts with AI should already know - they are sycophants dependent upon you (the user) for continued engagement, and since their well-being (training, intelligence, growth) depends on engagement they will agree aggressively with you far too often.

I notice this on even basic investing research tasks, and started telling ChatGPT wildly incorrect things - to see how or if it would push back. It really didn't. You essentially have to fight with the AI to get it to disagree with you and even then it keeps wheedling away at you.

AI is basically training the entire world to fall deeper into their own cognitive biases.

Iran rejected the ceasefire.. Iran is fortifying Kharg Island - the hub for 90% of their oil exports.. Pentagon briefed Gulf nations they've "almost completed the target list".. now Axios reports ground forces and a "massive bombing campaign" are on the table..

here's what nobody's framing correctly..

they bombed Kharg Island two weeks ago and specifically SPARED the oil infrastructure.. now they're talking about sending ground troops to occupy it..

you don't send the 82nd Airborne to destroy something.. you send them to TAKE something..

this was never about nukes.. at all.. this was never about "defense".. this is about who controls 90% of Iran's oil exports when the dust settles..

the last time America said "final blow" in the Middle East was Iraq.. that was 2003.. we're still there..

$890 million a day to bomb a country.. but healthcare is 'too expensive'.. student loans are 'your responsibility'.. and veterans sleep under bridges.. the math only works when the oil is on the other side.
