Just got back from a 3-day youth conference with some amazing young people. Yesterday they spent time cleaning veteran headstones at the Los Angeles National Cemetery. It made me appreciate those who went before us and sacrificed so much, as well as those who are our future!

She’s about to graduate. I’ve loved the many years of watching her play, the many hours driving with her to games, seeing her resiliency rehabbing a torn ACL, and calling her name from the announcer’s booth when she stepped on the pitch! Truly the Most Inspirational!

My daughter Kate tore her ACL and missed most of her JR and SR years of high school flag football and soccer while she was rehabbing. So glad she’s getting the chance to play this season with Oxnard College! The Condors took down Cal Poly SLO, UCLA, and SBCC today!

@jkimballcook The appellate judge I clerked for routinely permitted litigants to continue their arguments beyond the time limit because he wanted them to leave knowing they had been permitted to fully make their case. I always appreciated that (even if the other judges on the panels did not)
