"[S]ince the end of August, deaths from the coronavirus have doubled in counties with a large college population... Few of the victims were college students, but rather older people and others living and working in the community."

Send a letter to your U.S. representative right now and urge them to co-sponsor H.R. 4052 —

Our government killed Brandon Bernard tonight.
Brandon mattered. The death penalty only perpetuates a cycle of trauma. We have to end it once and for all.

There will be no update today.

Finland is currently pushing for a six hour workday. This isn’t a radical idea. Data shows it’s better for workers well-being and actually increases efficiency/productivity. Better conditions are necessary and possible.
Today, a worker must earn $23.96 an hour to afford a modest 2 bedroom apartment – $5.74 more than the average tenant makes. As a result, 18 million families are paying over 50% of their income on housing. We need to raise wages and build 10 million units of affordable housing.
"Ultimately, this isn’t just a question of dollars and cents. It’s a question about who we want to be as a nation. If we want to form a more inclusive government, we need to open our doors to young people who can’t afford the price of admission." https://t.co/7vvjTBOgwc
