Another tournament in the books and I will say this one was both miserable and memorable. A little parasite going around..iykyk! I left the 3rd inning in first game and didn’t make it back until the championship. Had to dig deep both days a push thru but we got it done.

Pitching: 41 INN/ 6-2/ 59K/ 75% WEAK/ .166 BAA. I walked too many to share!

On the mound I went 4 innings throwing 48 pitches while giving up 1 hit, 2 walks but 0 runs.

Varsity Baseball: Napoleon 19-16, Vandercook Lake 2-1. Pirates (9-6) on the road getting contributions from Josh Flack (3 IP, 7 K), Zavior Skog (2 hits, 3 RBI), Tristen Russell (2 hits, 2 RBI), Logan Hankis (3 RBI), JJ Dillay (4 IP, 5K), and Grant Straub (2 hits, 2 RBI).

Great double header tonight. I had 3 hits, 2 walks, 2 ROE, 1 HBP while scoring 5 runs and droving in 4 RBI’s.

On the mound 2nd game, I shut them down. I struck out 7 over 3 innings giving up 1 hit, 1 walk and 1 run. We won scoring over 15 runs in 3 innings.

I got the opportunity to get back on the mound against the #17 ranked team in division 3. We split the series. I was able to go 4 innings striking out 5 using a 4 seam/2 seam mix along with a curve. I am trying to work the lower corner to get the off balance swings.

Varsity Baseball: Napoleon 6, Columbia Central 5. Pirates (3-4) rally for 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th to win on a walk-off. Tyler Nall (3 IP, 4 K, 2 hits), Tristen Russell (4 IP, 5 K), Grand Straub (2B, 2 RBI), and Brady McLain (2B) all chipped in for Napoleon.

First full week of games completed. I had a couple solid hits and made my first appearance on the mound. I went 4 innings striking out 7 but gave up 3 runs. Going from 14u last year to varsity is an adjustment. I handled it in football and basketball and will do it here.

Season opener in the books. Went 1-for-2 at the plate and held it down at the third base corner all game. Didn’t get the win but it was a solid start and we are ready to build from here.

Defense became my identity this year. 44 blocks for the season, shifting momentum, and anchoring the paint. All which helped me earn Honorable Mention All-Conference honors.

District championship didn’t end how we wanted, but I’m proud of our fight this season. Thank you Coach @DerekSeidl for believing in me and giving me the opportunity as a freshman. And congrats to my teammate Tyler Nall on reaching the 1,000-point club—well deserved!

Had a good bullpen yesterday. Working individual pitches making micro changes of the ball in my hand. Still sitting mid 80s on my fastball. My changeup is developing and going to be nasty this year.
