I like to read | Memory like an elephant | Context is important | Geno said it all, lemme find the clip, article or specific quote - Don’t be a lazy scrounger
I will say, the way the Dallas Wings have played Azzi Fudd this season has only helped to breed this narrative.
They've done her a major disservice, knowing the sheer amount of eyes watching, comparing and critiquing her every move. It almost seems very unjust and deliberate.
A man running social media for a women's sports company publicly suggesting a top female athlete was drafted for "PR" rather than basketball reasons is certainly a choice. Disagree with the pick if you want, but reducing Azzi's accomplishments to marketing feels disrespectful. https://t.co/oHaZ8K5Spm
Also it's so funny to see the same ppl who spent the last yr hyping up Hunter to shit on Azzi now get angry bcuz he turned on Paige. Basically summarises the stupidity of the internet.
@love_wbb What?! Sydney Colson hands down takes the cake. Although i know she’s not in the W this year because of her acl, she hasn’t retired yet.
Anyway, Paige still cares too much about her personal image/brand to be fully real and “let loose”
Talking about swag or Azzi’s lack of it.
It reminds me of when Katie said
“she doesn’t have that natural swag of, ‘i’m just great’”
Any aggressiveness she has on court, was drilled into her and she worked hard to fight against her natural instinct lol
I didn’t realize Malu Tshitenge-Mutombo was the friend who came up with “BAF” for Azzi when she gets nervous
Fact that she was present when she was being scouted by Geno & when she drafted to the W 🥹
Also, lol at her not being happy with her win bcs she didn’t beat Steph 😭
I mean Azzi had a good reason to skip because she was in a boot after the natty.
But she probs was “staying present” because fans spotted her with 🥜 out and about. Most likely helped her pack before she had to head to Dallas
Always think the way you are stems from childhood experiences. It’s a reason why Azzi started a camp at 13, wants to give back to communities and loves freebies so she finds ways to gift kids
Also, Curry has alway been the 🐐 investing in women’s sports with Azzi, since day one
Yesterday Azzi hosted an event with Rae’s Hope, a youth development program for girls aged 5-18. Azzi and Cash App donated $35,000, and the children in attendance each received individual gift bags from Azzi Fudd and Cash App. 👑🪽
