Root Locale: Top Rated Adventure and Exploration App For 2026.
@dlongenecker1 Ironically, that's why we built Root Locale.
We encourage people to check out our app, discover a destination, then shut the phone off and go explore.
People shouldn't be glued to screens, they should be out in history and nature.
@jvepng Yup. No sign-in required for 90% of the app. The only time you register is to "Check In" at a specific location using GPS, so we ask you to sign in so you can track your personal journey across devices. Totally optional though.
๐ Root Locale:
Crowd Sourced adventures to avoid Crowds during your adventures.
Over the next three months we will be locking-in to add your most requested spots to the map. Thousands of unique spots will be joined with tens of thousands of miles of trails.
See you soon. ๐จ
@jvepng@danghentschel We got a complaint yesterday that our sign-in function was too hard to find in our app.
I honestly thought that was the oddest thing to complain about.
@danghentschel Dan,
Just try to calm down. Please. In our bio, you will find a link to download our app. It has calm relaxing photos and adventures.
Promise.
Just download our app, create an account, make a password, and enter the code. Everything will be alright.
jk, no sign in required. ๐
I am tired of having to download an app, create an account, confirm my email, set up a password that has at least 1 letter and 1 special character, enter the code sent to my email, for every single thing on Godโs green earth, FUCK EVERY SINGLE COMPANY, AND YOUR STUPID CRAP!!!!!!!

@russcar10now What a beautiful state.
Wyoming never ceases to amaze.
Here's a picture from Sinks Canyon State Park in Fremont County Wyoming. Sinks was formed by the Middle Popo Agie River which vanishs into a cave then reemerges a quarter-mile downstream amid limestone cliffs.
Today we're exploring Royal Gorge Bridge in Fremont County, Colorado!
This wonder spans 1,260 feet across the Arkansas River, 955 feet above the riverbed. Itโs one of the worldโs highest bridges, offering thrilling views of the gorge.
