@Polpodge@Gray_Mackenzie After the infection has been present in the body for several days the immune system begins to mount a specific attack against by forming antibodies which bind to the virus and tag it for clearance. These antibodies are unique to the virus & can be easily detectable in the blood.
@RyanWalker78@chelebeee Hope you DID have it, and are now full of antibodies! FYI you can do a serologic test from home to see if you have the antibodies. It's simple and quick...
@PrancingPapio Congrats on surviving COVID-19! How do you know you had it? Did you wind up getting tested for the virus itself, or just the antibodies?
@SlackerGeorge @CarlWorsham @ChellyRS84 @LoisEiler@GregAbbott_TX The "we" we're talking about is us, who are a company focused on serologic testing and have a test for the presence of coronavirus antibodies. Nothing to do with the gov't.
@YouZZUI@GregAbbott_TX Serologic (finger prick) tests for antibodies are available by private companies. They're more accurate than the swab test...would that work for you?
