Wallet, vault, encrypted drive, and a real shell sit inside the machine. Chain tools are optional. They do not define the product.

Introducing Argent OS

Argent OS is a local-first privacy operating system that runs as a cloud computer in your browser. You open a tab, provision a machine, and work on a desktop that stays on your device.

There is no account. There is no server-side storage. The system does not keep a copy of you. Machines, files, vaults, and keys live in the browser that opened them. Clear that storage and the fleet is gone. There is no cloud backup and no other copy.

The OS itself does not call the network. The only outbound path is the chain RPC you choose, through a same-origin proxy so the node address never ships in the page. Wallet keys are created or imported locally, signed in the tab, and forgotten when the session ends.

What you get is a personal computer with a real shell, a filesystem that survives reload, local cryptography, and optional chain tools for Robinhood Chain and Ethereum. Those tools sit inside the machine. They do not define the machine.

Argent hides the node, not the chain. Balances and trades on a public network are still public. Treat this as a computer you own locally, not as an anonymity network and not as a hosted server.
