@IlyasCigarette I don't think anything comes close to the Tal Bauer experience except his other books. How to Say I Do, I think is the closest to The Fall in terms of that dreamy writing style that pulls you in. But his Executive Office series changed my brain chemistry forever.
currently reading the fall by tal bauer and the experience so far has been something like this:
the first 20% - low level anxiety
the next 10% - one giant heart attack
after 30% - depressed but hopeful
no, I do see the vision here, but I was feeling Stressed for a bit there
I need someone to invent an app where people reading the same book at the same time can communicate and support each other when said book is giving them a heart attack
You're allowed to do creative stuff even if you don't think you're good at them. Do it because it moves something stuck inside you. Because creativity isn’t about being impressive, it’s about being expressive. Create badly. Create awkwardly. That’s not failure, that’s freedom.
shane and ilya have been “together” since 2008 and boyfriends since 2017, but it’s not until they’re outed in 2021 that they would be able to like. go for a romantic dinner together. or even go to the movies and share popcorn. they never got to Date each other
@salty_nd_writer Hello. Glad I saw your post, also looking for people who are here to celebrate things, not you know, whatever is constantly going on out there.
Anyway, the quote! Probably my favorite exchange though I don’t know what it says about me.
sometimes I’m like, one could write a whole paper about heated rivalry the tv show doing absolutely nothing for the popularity of mm romance the genre.
and then I realize it would literally be just one sentence.
Also, having finished the book. Y'all hate women cause the dialogue was lifted directly from the text. There are some slight changes like Shane typing we didn't kiss but not sending the text. You'd think this adaptation was just doing its own thing the way people talk about it
I need the algorithm to do its thing and find me some people who don’t hate the long game (or heated rivalry the book for that matter), I’m getting tired of the takes I keep seeing
