In my 1-bit desktop Idle RPG Game, Player can set up a timer for breaks where player wont be threatened by any Monster Encounter.
A feature I made to remind the player of work cycles (Like a tomato clock)

[全自動ダンジョンRPG "Algolemeth" @Algolemeth]

#スーパーゲ制デー 「ノードを繋ぎ、迷宮をハックせよ！」全自動ダンジョンRPG "Algolemeth"を制作しています。昨日お伝えしましたが、架け橋ゲームズ様と日本・韓国でのパブリッシング契約を結びました！これからはタッグを組んで、より良い作品を作っていきます！

今月の進捗ですが、敵キャラクターの3Dモデルから2Dイラストへの置き換えを進めています！イラストはもちろん、さなき男爵さん(@sanaki385)によるものです！

長年応援してくれている方の中には、えっ！？と思う方が居るかもしれないので、少し長いですが経緯についてお話します！

開発当初、ソロ開発でプログラム以外からっきしの私にとって、市販の3Dモデルを使用する前提でどのようにしたら統一感のあるデザインに出来るか悩んでいました。

様々な試行錯誤を重ねた結果、色を削り、3Dモデルにドット絵風のシェーダーを通すというモノクロ・ドット絵風デザインに至りました。これは制約の中から生まれたものでしたが、幸いなことに皆さんから好評いただきました。

そんな中、コンテスト受賞の支援もあり様々なクリエイターの皆さんと出会う機会を得て、タイトル、キャラポートレート、BGM、SEなど、懸念していた様々なアセットのクオリティが格段にアップしていきました。

そして最後に残ったのが、敵キャラクターです！開発を進めていくにつれて、次第に市販の3Dモデルでは品質・バリエーションに限界を感じるようになり、自分の中で負い目となっていました。

ある意味ではアートデザインの根幹を揺るがす変更であり、簡単な決断ではありませんでしたが、自分だけの最強の作品を作る機会は何度もない、悔いを残したくないという思いで、さなきさんに相談させていただき、今回組み込むに至った経緯です。

個人的には素晴らしいアートで、より良い方向に進んだと思っていますが、皆さんはどう感じましたか？ぜひご意見をお聞かせください！！
