Agree wholeheartedly. And can name the members of the council that pushed for those events to be virtual. Looking at you @CmHucker maybe take a read? Without performances and potlucks, school communities began to unravel - Chalkbeat Colorado https://t.co/zKYpdJGe2V

@NYMag@eliza_pb I’m curious why this article’s title is about nannies helping women. You automatically assume it’s the woman in the relationship who would be doing all the childcare if it wasn’t for the nanny. Isn’t the article about nannies helping powerful couples??!
New MMWR data pushes back on yesterday's data on different 5-11 effectiveness. The short-term VE for preventing an ED/urgent care visit is similar for 5-11 & 12-15. Bigger story is that this VE for 12-15 wanes after two doses in Omicron era, and will likely do the same for 5-11.
@darakass I think I live in your district.
Unfortunately, I think low opt in rates due to low opt in rates - does that make sense? Our neighbor district (many say not as good”) started testing in 2020 when families were looking for it. Have 90% compliance. We were very late to the game.
“[Keeping students away from campus] is a mistake. It reflects an outmoded level of caution. And it represents a failure of universities to protect their students’ interests.”

This is how we should be thinking of isolation now
*2 days of testing negative ends isolation early*
(actually I published this argument in April 2020… said 2 days of PCR Ct values above 35 should end isolation - many physicians wanted to crucify me for it)
As Omicron cases explode
We need a strategy for isolating folks who test positive
We need to think about the purpose of isolation clearly
Because if we don't get it right,
It'll both be hugely disruptive and won't keep us safe
So let's discuss what we need to do

Glad to comment here on how to regain a sense of agency during a stressful & uncertain time. 👇👇
TL;DR:
Focus on what you *can* control, i.e., prune media inputs, filter the news, & PLEASE get vaccinated & boosted if eligible
