This scene in #Obsession sent chills down my spine. I noticed her in the corner before my wife did and I immediately held my breath lol. The use of lighting here, barely being able to make at her horrifying expressions is just perfect horror at its best.

@VoicesInShadows Everything that happens with Nikki is bleak, but this was the most viscerally upsetting part of the film for me. Maybe bc Nikki’s plotline is somewhat revealed in the advertising, but the part with Sarah was so sudden and shocking

@cineworld Wasn’t planning to see this because it’s not my usual genres, but I was pleasantly surprised by how thoughtfully the plot and protagonist were interconnected, and by the use of audio. Well-done film in general.

Hokum is yet another beautiful psychological horror movie that’s going to be dismissed by many people, because the marketing is aimed at fans of more consistently jumpscare-y horror. Deeply frustrating for fans of both subgenres how often this happens.
