@TomGrothJr@FOS How many high schools do you know of that offer ice hockey? Therefor it is much different than basketball, baseball, wrestling, swimming, etc.
@kuchmd@navz_19@FOS All the other sports you are referencing are available to play at their high schools. Outside of Minnesota how many high schools do you know of that offer hockey. This rule forces kids to leave home at an earlier age.
@hockeylogic@MNState0fHockey It would flip junior hockey on its head. So what junior hockey now has to flip their entire roster ever year because kids are now only playing one, two years max instead of the 2-4 years currently. That is unsustainable at any level. Usports is loving this debacle
@thesaw1010@HockeyThinkTank@MYHockeyRanking@MinnHockey Agreed. The key piece is you have to have government owned rinks and a lot of them to have any sort of community model. So if you want more participation in other states at a cheaper level you have to get more ice built and owned by the city. It’s the same model as Canada
TRADE ALERT 🚨
We have acquired forward Rylan Oster from the Fairbanks Ice Dogs! Rylan put up 13 points in 25 Games last season in Alaska as the '06 forward looks to bring his high tempo offense to Maine!
@greg_hockey1997@YouthHockeyHub Agree it’s a really bad celebration. Surprises coaches allow their kids to do that. Golden goal would be the only acceptable time for this.
@BCHL_Alberta He will not be enrolled in Maine next fall is my guess. Colleges will commit kids and have them play out their junior career and enter college as a 20/21 year old freshman.
