@Tglocks215 I like your comment about responsibility coming from student loans. I agree 100% and believe that is good for some people not to have something given to them, rather work for it and pay it off! #SWO332
It is nice to see how well respected @KamalaHarris is in the political community. She was a great candidate and open the doors to a lot of well thought out ideas. I wish her the best #SWO332
Grateful to Kamala for her service, her candidacy and for all of the great things she’s going to do in the future. Amy and I got to know Kamala and Doug on the campaign trail, impressed by their kindness to us and their great sense of humor in the midst of incredible pressure.
@JennehBarclay I also liked her! it is sad to see her go but I hope someone will bounce off of her ideas. It is also an accomplishment for her because she is a women fighting for a "guys job" #SWO332
I thought that this was interesting because a lot of young people use snap chat. I feel like this is a tactic to engage more younger adults and encourage them to vote. #swo332
Today in the presentation, I liked how one of the presenters talked about the rats example because it shows how messed up our justice system is. If you keep putting a troubled person back in the same troubled space, then nothing will change. #SWO332
The impeachment process has started today. I agree with Professor Dente when she said that it is a sad time for our country. It is sad to see that our country has failed us. #SWO332
If you run into any problems at the polls tomorrow, make sure to call our Voter Protection Hotline at 833-336-VOTE (8683). The right to vote is sacred and must be protected.
No one should avoid seeing a doctor because they don’t have insurance—or because the cost, even with insurance, is too high. This is why we need #MedicareForAll.
@ewarren I am a huge supporter of small businesses. I agree with Elizabeth Warren when she says that we must make sure that they can thrive. Today, we are so focused on the big manufactures that we forget about the hardworking people in our hometown. #swo332
@BernieSanders paying all teachers at least $60,000 a year may be wishful thinking, but I am rooting for Bernie with this idea. He seems to have a lot of out of reach outcomes, but it would be interesting to see how he puts all of his ideas together. #swo332
Make sure kids aren't hungry at school.
Pay all teachers at least $60,000 a year.
Allow everyone to go to college if they wish.
That's our "radical" education agenda. This is the richest country on Earth. We can ensure our people can learn and live with dignity.
@BernieSanders I stand with Bernie on passing Medicare for All. Dealing with medical bills is a very stressful and time consuming process. Mental health is affected by this and I have seen it first hand. We need a change. #Swo332
@SociallyJustKay I also support charter schools. Before the presentation, I did not know a lot about them, but now I am all for them. Education is always a big topic in the news and I believe that we should start pushing charter schools. #swo332
@swoemma I am a fan of Elizabeth Warren and the view on some of her very social work policies. But she is also very realistic, and she is correct when she says that the democrats have to fight hard this election.
@BernieSanders although this is what all students want, it seems to be a dream and a fantasy reality that Bernie is portraying for all of us hopeful college students.
@Tglocks215 I also agree with you. Even if they do go on with this process...will it really matter? It seems to be that he could be out of office before the impeachment process would even reach him. #swo332
