With two billionaires (both nice people, actually) spending tens of millions of dollars on TV ads, it’s time for Americans to ask whether we think the presidency should be so easily bought. If this assault on our democracy doesn’t call for a non-violent revolution then what does?
Today during the presentation I thought it was interesting that it was pointed out that there are a lot of immigrants that come here to take on opportunity for themselves and grow rather then just take over the US. #SWO332
Today in the presentation they mentioned how 85% of arrests are due to possession of drugs. However, what if the person is just in the wrong place, wrong time? Also, I agree how drug abuse should be treated as a health issue not criminally. #SWO332
Last night voters across the country made clear: they're tired of a government that works for the 1% while working people suffer. They want real change.
Next year we'll finish the job by taking on Trump’s corruption. We'll sweep him and all he stands for out of the White House.
Today we talked about if it is okay if a white family adopts a black child. I think there is no shame or difference what race you are. As long as the child feels accepted and is treated with respect. I agree with adopting a different race then your own. #SWO332
Corey booker mentions how we have to bring this country together not argue over Trump. I really respected that because he acknowledged the problems but didn’t focus his argument on that, he focused on getting across the message that we need to stand together. #SWO332
60 years later and people didn’t give up. This proves that when you don’t stop fighting you will get what you want! It’s good to see some change. #SWO332
More than 150 years after Montgomery was the capital of the Confederacy; more than 60 years after their bus boycott, Montgomery has elected Steven Reed as its first African American Mayor.
A reminder of the progress we can make when we never stop fighting for it.
After talking in class today, I realized my bathroom is not wheel chair accessible at all. I wanted to show an image of a bathroom that is accessible compared to mine. #SWO332
Today I learned that in Guatemala, schooling is 4.1 years long. In America, it is the norm to go through elementary, highschool, and college to be “successful”. This statistic proves how much they lack education and a chance to be successful compared to Americans. #SWO332
In the article, Out for change is stated
An estimated 40-50% of the homeless youth living on New York City’s streets identify as LGBT. The fact more half are LGBTQ because they are being thrown out of homes for who they are is upsetting.

Another article stated,
But the 2011 NTDS found that among those who had tried to access homeless shelters, 29 percent were completely refused services. So not only do they have it hard by getting kicked out of their homes but not being welcomed in shelters as well. #SWO332
Joe Biden mentioned in a tweet how people in the LGBTQ community should not be fired from their job for who they are and what they love. I agree! No matter who we are or what we love, we don’t deserve to lose money for it! #SWO332
O’Rourke talking about the AR15 gun being used on children, was heavy. Totally agree with the fact that guns used out in the battlefield should not be used on children. #SWO332
