The kids in our schools have remarkable talents that are often untapped by traditional curriculum and traditional pedagogy. Props to the teachers who work outside the box in order to create opportunities for ALL their students to thrive.
All hands on deck! Great first week with all grade levels on campus. Tβs working hard, support staff adjusting to supervision/safety procedures, our awesome parents showing great patience, and most importantly our Sβs being so excited to be back in class! #teambcsd@MckinleyBCSD
You may have crafted an eloquent philosophy of education. You may have developed a killer resume. But what Iβm much more interested in... is how you treat the students who might seem unlovable... and how you respond to your colleague who needs assistance.
Our #teambcsd SEL Task Force spoke about the importance of relationships at our last session. How will we effectuate change across the organization? Iβm looking forward to our future growth from our current practices to becoming even more student centered. #CorePriority3
Congratulations to Richard Ribaudo, a P.E. Teacher at Sierra Middle School, for his #TeacherOfTheYear nomination! @KCSOS will celebrate the extraordinary work of local teachers in a virtual event during #TeacherAppreciationWeek, May 3-6th. #TeamBCSD
Trust the process! Gearing up for materials/chrome book distribution has been an adventure π³π€ͺ. All of us Mustangs are all in!!! #teamBCSD@MckinleyBCSD
I am convinced that one of the most important things a staff member can do to contribute to a strong culture is to be excited about their job.
This does not require skill, experience, or innovation. But it does require heart.
Two outstanding Sierra Spartans. Chacon was in my very first class of 7th graders. Iβm proud of all the graduates, but Iβm extra proud at the ones I had. I canβt believe my first class of middle schoolers is off to college! π
