What could be better than 4 pieces of 7mesh for Christmas? 5 pieces…so glad I left my computer logged in on this great Canadian company. I can’t wait to ride!!

We need to find a way to support frontline healthcare workers who have childcare needs given the suspension of K-12 classes. Same applies to others such as grocery store & pharmacy workers & others serving the greater needs of society #COVIDCanada#COVIDalberta#abed
A few things I learned as a principal:
▶️ Never going to please everyone.
▶️ Suspension doesn’t change behavior.
▶️ Parents are sending the best they got.
▶️ 90% of your challenges come from 10% of the people.
▶️ NOTHING replaces a solid teacher.
We need to work together. A system where we all must " take turns" bearing the load rather than look for solutions will never lead to long term growth and prosperity. Google Pittsburgh & Detroit's 2 approaches to to deal with fiscal struggles. #innovationforalberta@YourAlberta
It’s to bed for me soon. I reflect on all the people who support me and my fellow staff. Teaching, and working in schools, is exhausting and rewarding, it’s chaotic and purposeful, and it’s the only thing most of us know.
Biking with my colleagues Josh and Nate at Hunting Hills High School Bike-a-thon! Students, staff, and community members raise awareness and $32,000 during this fantastic 24 hour event! @rdpschools@HHHSrdpsd@HHHSBikeathon@DellaMurphyRus
Currently in a gym with the best people all peddling for a cause. #hhhsbikeathon2019 24 hrs for mental health. Proud of my colleagues going hard @ 5am to support their students.
What happened at your school today? Mine encouraged students to show each other they cared for one another other. I’m so proud to be a public school educator!!!
Excited to begin the HHHS Bike-A-Thon, where public school teachers and their students ride for 24 hrs to raise awareness and funds for mental wellness. I wonder how many of the countries above us in the PISA math scores are this concerned about mental health.@rdpschools
I just finished up reading through the Pisa results that our Alberta kids rocked. My wife is busy preparing to work with Public teachers who continually strive for improvement.
My youngest is playing his guitar and singing. (A passion he picked up at his public schools rock band program). My oldest son just got home after being with his coach at a public school basketball game. He then did homework which his public school teachers will mark tomorrow.
Have a student you're struggling with?
Try the 'two-by-ten' strategy:
For two minutes each day, 10 days in a row, have a personal conversation with the #student about anything the student is interested in.
Wonderfully simple and wildly effective.
