‼️ Επική ιστορική στιγμή για την Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία έλαβε χώρα την Παρασκευή 13 Μαρτίου του 2026, αφού οι ΗΠΑ ζήτησαν και έλαβαν επίσημη άδεια από την Λευκωσία να πετούν έως τις 12 Απριλίου του 2026 πάνω από τον Κυπριακό Βορρά.

🇨🇾🇹🇷 Παρότι η νόμιμη κυβέρνηση της Κύπρου στην Λευκωσία είναι υπεύθυνη για τον Εναέριο Χώρο της Κύπρου γύρω από όλο το νησί, η Τουρκία αρνείται κατηγορηματικά κάτι τέτοιο αφού δημιούργησε στον κατεχόμενο Βορρά το "ψευδοκράτος της Βορείου Κύπρου", μετά την εισβολή του 1974.

🇺🇸Όμως οι ΗΠΑ (και ορθώς) αγνόησαν τις Τουρκικές παράνομες αιτιάσεις και παρέκαμψαν εννοείται την παράνομη κατοχική ψευδοκυβέρνηση του Βορρά, ζητώντας απευθείας άδεια μόνο από την Λευκωσία. Οι πτήσεις των Αμερικανών έχουν σχέση με τις επιχειρήσεις τους κατά του Ιράν, στις οποίες η Τουρκία αρνήθηκε επανειλημμένα να συμμετέχει ή να συνδράμει.

🚨WHO BENEFITS FROM THE IRANIAN ISLAMIC REGIME’S ATTACKS ON DUBAI?

The UAE has historically been a lifeline for Iran, not an adversary. For years, the UAE facilitated Iran’s evasion of international sanctions through the Jebel Ali port in Sharjah that helped Tehran navigate economic isolation.

Today, over half a million Iranians call the UAE home, with the majority residing in Dubai, contributing to its vibrant economy. If anything, this relationship underscores mutual benefit, not enmity.
Yet, Iran’s missile and drone barrage has tried to shatter Dubai’s aura of stability, attacking infrastructure like Jebel Ali port and causing fires from intercepted debris.
Airspace closures and disruptions to tourism have ensued, threatening the city’s role as the world’s premier air travel hub.

Emirates, the globe’s most successful long-haul carrier, operates from Dubai International, which handled 93mln passengers in 2024, making it the busiest international airport worldwide. Dubai’s reputation as a safe, business-friendly oasis has long drawn investors and expats, fueling its economic dominance.

Now, let’s ask ourselves, who truly benefits from this chaos?
IST in Turkey, is the largest airport by land area in the world at almost 80 square kms, dwarfing DXB’s 29 square kms. Yet, despite its size and Turkish Airlines’ massive fleet, double that of Emirates, IST lags behind DXB in international passenger traffic, with 80 million passengers in 2024 compared to DXB’s 93mln. Turkish Airlines, operating from IST as its primary hub, directly competes with Emirates on global routes, but Emirates consistently edges out in premium service, connectivity, and market share.
Turkish Airlines boasts extensive reach to over 330 destinations, but Emirates’ luxury focus and Dubai’s stability give it the upper hand.
“Destabilizing” Dubai through attacks that halt port operations, close airspace and “scaring off” tourists, creates a vacuum that IST airport and Turkish Airlines are perfectly positioned to fill. As Dubai grapples with fires and missile debris raining down, IST airport could siphon off diverted flights, cargo and business travelers seeking alternatives.
Turkey’s economy, already eyeing regional dominance, benefits from any shift in aviation and trade flows away from the Gulf.
Is this mere coincidence, or a calculated play? While direct evidence of Turkish involvement is absent, Turkey has publicly braced for impacts without endorsing the strikes, the strategic gains are undeniable.

I don't understand Ankara's strategy. Turkey has legit security concerns. Why not undertake a diplomatic effort to solicit support from NATO allies instead of balking at Sweden/Finland, threatening Greece, and moving into Syria? It makes no sense to be provocative.
