But Iran… whether you like what happened with Iran or not… I think it’s naïve to act like it isn’t a major threat to the world. They’ve been killing and murdering people for 47 years. They can’t have nuclear weapons. Something’s got to be done.

Why have we allowed all these proxy wars endlessly? These proxy wars have been going on. It’s a situation that needs to be resolved.

I think it would take fortitude, and I think a president would have to go to the American people and say, ‘This is important. We’re going to resolve it.’

You could resolve it without putting 100,000 of your kids on the field. You get allied support, but we are going to have this strategy… basically economic… just tighten down on the economy until they say, ‘We’re done.’

That could happen. It may take a year, and gas prices may go up. But is that a better outcome than them having a nuclear weapon in 10 years? Yeah.

I wouldn’t even compare the economy to that. One is maybe life and death for mankind. The other one is the economy.”
