We’ve been creating ads in library to show our mastery of the purposes of media. This one, from a 4th grade team, was so well executed! They created a product description, brand name, slogan, and a color scheme to sell their cupcake themed breakfast cereal.
On March 2-6 an anonymous donor is doubling donations to book projects on Donors Choose. You can support our school library by donating to my project during this time! #FillEveryShelf https://t.co/y5BPnwyt70
Love this SLJ article. In our neighborhood, our students age up quickly so I’m constantly looking for tween titles for my sixth graders. What are your best tween recs? https://t.co/DwQEZ4ED8b
So many good things this week. Grants for scary, funny, and super engaging books came through! I couldn't keep this library collection current without the support of grants and donors. See the books we have coming our way here: https://t.co/HoVKYsHz8m
So many parents (and teachers!) are doing the good work of fostering a reading environment in their homes and classrooms. But we can all use a sassy reminder now and again 😏#roseparkraptorsarereaders@RoseParkElem
#HBFamilyReading: Shout-out to evelynmaryw who said on Instagram: "They should give this to new parents." We wholeheartedly agree! ICYMI: here's our classic, tongue-in-cheek poster "Unlucky Arithmetic: 13 Ways to Raise a Nonreader" by Schneider + Smith https://t.co/nbLoGvp8gT
@DonorsChoose is awesome! We’re learning with #LEGO in the @RoseParkElem library thanks to generous community members. Look at these cheesy, happy faces. ☺️
I AM DONE WEEDING THE INFORMATIONAL COLLECTION!! Goodbye 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, & 1990s texts! Farewell outdated information! #librarians#workhard
Teachers at @RoseParkElem work so hard to give their students the best, most positive school experiences. Our awesome ELL specialist put together this talent show number with 3rd graders. She is one of many #SLCSDsuperheroes at our school! @slcschools
We are learning to create podcasts in the library! Thanks @STEMUtah for the classroom grant that made this cool experience possible. @RoseParkElem students are grateful!
5th grade keeps on killin’ it with hilarious #poetry! Exploring intentional structure of language by examining and creating concrete poems. #NationalPoetryMonth#librarylearning
Happy spring and happy National Poetry Month! We mastered similes this week writing color poetry. Enjoy this class poem by 3rd grade friends. #librarylearning#NationalPoetryMonth
