One of my favorite times of the year is our church's missions conference. This year we held our first Taste of World dinner and our class featured Sweden. It was a great time!
Your heart is more important than your hemline, your prayer time more important than your public ministry. It should not surprise us that God brings a fiery trial to us in private either. It is who we are before God that God cares about most.
Our family visited a widow on Saturday. She went on and on about how God's promises have kept her encouraged through the recent challenging years. She said not one word of what He has promised has failed. Friend, claim a promise today!
"God's hand is very helpful when it uplifts, but it is awful when it presses down: better a world on the shoulder, like Atlas, than God's hand on the heart, like David." - Spurgeon
Enjoyed driving a bus today. A dad and mom came for the 3rd week in a row, a young man came for the 2nd week in a row, and two first time visitors! God is good and worthy of our service!
"We ought, instead of wanting no trials before victory, no exercise for patience, to be willing to take them from God’s hand as a means. I say – and say it deliberately – trials, obstacles, difficulties, and sometimes defeats, are the very food of faith." -George Mueller
