@SlugsUploads I'm not even sure it's about sexual desire tbh, and most men KNOW street harassment/catcalling is uncomfortable for us, I think that's why they do it.
@SlugsUploads This is a standard experience for tween girls unfortunately, most women I know started receiving street harassment in the first couple of years at senior school, it started dropping off once I was out of school uniform as well π
@blackmxst@ShadowSiren666@Beas_Knees It's ok! There's so many shitty people out there. I'm lucky mum isn't one of them, she (and dad) raised us to educate ourselves about issues affecting marginalised groups and to avoid prejudice and push back on it when we encounter it.
@ShadowSiren666@blackmxst@Beas_Knees Nah I get it, we don't want a milkshake duck situation hahah! But she is definitely not a Tory/MAGA, and is very pro LGBTQIA+ rights, official statement from her first born lol.
Me, trying to explain to my friend how shitty it is for her to purposely use "fat" as an insult about an ex (or about anyone) π
If a guy was a terrible human being, choose any number of insults about that instead of using something that describes your best friend as well, folks
Mostly because since then I just feel like I'm constantly fighting the urge to assume any compliment someone gives me is just a whopper. A big old falsehood. Alternative facts etc
I don't think people realise when they lie to someone and we find out that it's not just discovering we've been mislead or cheated on, it's also then realising everything nice they've ever said to us could also have been a lie. It's like a multiple-whammy-self-esteem-assault
Fuck me, Britain is responsible for so much bullshit. We have very little in the way of interesting heritage so we just went round the world and stomped on other people's
