Cambridge City Foodbank has launched its Summer Appeal, urging residents and businesses to help ensure no child goes without food during the school holidays.
The charity provided more than 41,000 meals to households with children last summer and expects high demand again this year.

Ten years ago today I took a picture of a dog looking at a feather tied to a guitar neck held by an arm belonging to man who is playing the guitar from inside a bin. If you're not from Cambridge then I can assure you this is normal.

Please dont do this,
12 years of tory psycho drama and labour doing the same within 2 years is self indulgent, sickeningly hypocritical and shockingly selfish.
All parties need to show what reform cllrs do so the electorate reject them in a GE , not give them cover by being stupid.

@KayBurley Unfair. The media haven’t given Starmer a fair hearing since day one. It’s never about covering policy it’s the constant negativity. Meanwhile, Farage gets treated like a permanently indulged commentator. The imbalance in our media is glaring. The public are poorly served.
The media feeding frenzy today - in particular - has been a disgrace. Egging on Labour MPs in some sort of bid for chaos/excitement/column inches/podcast stats. This isn’t a game or a spectator sport. It’s the running of our country. Shameful.
Over-mowing by many councils has started already. Dandelions, daisies, cuckooflower, clover - lifelines for pollinators - mown down to lifeless, 'tidy' grass deserts. Is your council taking positive action to restore at least 30% of nature, or is it lagging behind?
So, if I post an English Bluebell a day it will take me one thousand three hundred & sixty nine years to show you every one in our woodland
Better get started then 🫠
