@theFIEC @_JohnStevens This is a really helpful piece on being mindful of the pitfalls of sermon plagiarism. Thank you. Would be interested to hear the perspective of other pastors in how they use resources in their sermon prep.
@michaeljtinker 1 John 1:8-10
We (as a constituency) seem to have gotten into a situation where we think we need to present sinlessness.
Whereas John would want us to remember that the presentation of sinlessness and lack of confession is a deeply troubling place to be.
@theweeflea@piersmorgan It’s a shame it was decided by rain. If someone said to me 4 years ago that we’d have Australia on the backfoot and spanking their seam attack to all parts, I wouldn’t have believed them. Bravo England and bravo bazball. More of the same this week please
@farmisonUK@mouthwaite Hi Farmison, I appreciate that Tamzin’s successful career, media presence and considerable follower count will be a factor for who you choose to send free Beef Wellingtons to, but if I can get a thousand likes for this post can I get one as well please? 😘
***Singing Update***
Places of Worship guidance has been updated today meaning congregational singing can take place outside (in the grounds of a place of worship) from this Sunday (28 March).
Small choirs can perform/rehearse indoors.

We are tempted to rewrite (or at least explain away) Scripture. In our new version “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”, (Matthew 11:28) now reads “Come to me, all you who are healthy and whole, and you can serve me”

You are freed from the need to figure out the future when your peace of heart isn’t found in your understanding, but in the incalculable wisdom of the one who rules over everything that you struggle to understand.
Wife has been looking forward to stew in the slow cooker all day. Just realised I unplugged it earlier when I was plugging in Alexa to ask her how old Ronan Keating is.
