This is a significant opportunity for the ECB to be transparent on the design and regulatory operation from the outset. They should openly work with key stakeholders to create a regulator that protects what it must. If they choose to design it behind closed doors, it will fail.

The ECB's setting up a new Cricket Regulator by next season. This is a key part of their response to the damning and unfortunately, unsurprisingly report from the ICEC which highlighted widespread racism, sexism and classism experienced at all levels in the sport.
