@roselyddon Someone from my MPhil days is doing a PhD on Gillian Rose with Rowan Williams supervising & I had no idea of this context...now seems v. dramatic
@dsqtng I love you & what you’re doing is hard and important. Please let me buy you a coffee soon & give you a hug & say this to your face xx
@jmschaff Anne Boyer is so good on this in this Mythos interview (‘One of the things that happens in a world in which we are so alienated and atomized is that romantic love can seem like it might be a little communism of two’) https://t.co/uyd2GGDkxg
@jennyharicot@waxworker Also like, I remember some subjects had mandatory essays that didn’t count towards final grades - though, as you can imagine, some didn’t bother with that / it didn’t seem necessarily to cause anxious students less anxiety.
@jennyharicot@waxworker Which is a bit more forgiving of the learning process. But Scotland also has 2 years that don’t count towards your final grade, instead of just one (though admittedly the focus is split between 3 subjects during that time, all with their own writing styles).
